To provide participants exposed to first aid situations with the knowledge and skill to recognise cardiac arrest, perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Objectives – On completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Recognise Cardiac Arrest
- Perform CPR
- Use of Face Masks
- Use an AED
- Recognise Choking and Treatment
- Stroke Assessment (FAST) and Treatment
- Aspirin Administration
- Critical Incident Stress Awareness
- Legal Indemnity Issues

- Recognise Cardiac Arrest
- Scene Assessment
- CPR
- Basic Life Support for Adults, children & Infants
- Use of Airway Devices
- Choking
- AED Use

Certification:
All successful candidates will be certified with a PHECC CFR-C Certificate. Certification is valid for 2 years from date of issue, thereafter subject to re-certification.
